Random Images From The Vault

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Comments:
Gahndi had the good fortune of having picked the right tormenters--the British. One wonder how he would have "passively resisted" someone like Stalin, Hitler, Mau or the Taliban? With the latter cast of despids, a hunger strike in the gulag, the gas chamber, the re-education camp or my favorite--the beheading party--would not have changed the hearts and minds of such unthinkable evil.

Read your history... Gahndi said when asked if passive resisance would work against Hitler he stated "I'm not passive anything, it just happenes to work in this case."
And work it did. He single handedly stopped the British Empire without fireing a single salvo- he only knew this one simple truth- 15,000 cannot controll 350,000,000. That is when done right.

Sometimes evil idealogs (Hitler, Hirohito, et al) are more powerful than the 'good' in this world. In the case of the former, almost 500,000 Americans died to defeat this evil. One still wonders how Gandhi and 15,000 followers could have whipped the Axis powers. And how would today's Castro and his brother act toward a 'Cuban Gandhi'? Again, one wonders if such would not join the other thousands of Castro's political prisoners rotting--as this is being written.
